Foods & Fats

Saturated Fat

The stable, natural fat found in meat, butter, and eggs that humans have always eaten.

Saturated fat is found in animal foods like beef, butter, and eggs. After decades of being blamed for heart disease, it is being re-examined, and Dr. Berry covers the science in Lies My Doctor Told Me. On the Proper Human Diet it is a normal, welcome part of eating. Always discuss your own labs and risk with your physician.

This definition is for general education and is not medical advice. Talk to your own physician before making changes, especially if you take medication. See our Medical Disclaimer.
