Ways of Eating

Proper Human Diet (PHD)

Eating the whole, real foods humans thrived on: animal protein and natural fats, with very few carbs.

The Proper Human Diet, or PHD, is Dr. Ken Berry's term for the way of eating humans evolved on. You build meals around meat, eggs, and fish, add natural fats like butter and tallow, and keep total carbs low. Vegetables and dairy are optional. There is no calorie counting. You eat real food until you are satisfied.
